The World Scabies Program is deeply saddened by the passing of Dr. Mwelecele Ntuli Malacela, Director of the World Health Organization's Department of Control of Neglected Tropical Diseases. 

Dr Mwelecele Ntuli Malecela will be remembered as a true trailblazer, inspirational figure and a dedicated leader in the fight against Neglected Tropical Diseases and the inequality that characterizes these diseases.
